For over 60 years, Lake Shore Schools has been committed to providing families with high-quality early care and educational opportunities that prepare children for success in the classroom and in life. In the early years, Lake Shore Schools was driven by the belief that children deserve the opportunity to be taught and nurtured by a caring staff of adults committed to helping them fulfill their potential.

Since opening our doors in 1948, we have served tens of thousands of children, and we look forward to serving thousands more children in the years to come. We believe that the children attending Lake Shore Schools deserve the best, and we maintain incredibly high standards for faculty, staff and for our facilities.

The school is accredited by both NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and NECPA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation), holds a Quality Rating System Star Level 3 rating through the Illinois Department of Human Services and continues to partner with the Chicago Public Schools Community Partnership Program.

Our work with these national and local organizations ensures that we remain focused on improving the quality of our program, implement best practices for our children, continue to meet higher teacher qualification standards, and utilize the most up-to-date research.
